A periodontal file is a basic hand instrument commonly used in dental practice. It is designed for the removal of supragingival plaque and calculus, as well as for cutting, smoothing, cleaning, and shaping alveolar bone and root canals during dental clinical procedures. With a design that conforms to oral anatomy, it offers stable handling and precise control, helping clinicians perform periodontal and endodontic procedures more accurately and efficiently, thereby improving clinical outcomes.

Usage and Operation

  1. Inspect the area that requires filing or cutting, and select the product specification that is appropriate.
  2. The operator should hold the middle part of the instrument and perform the operation using the working head.

Features

  1. After heat treatment, when the working head is made of 32Cr13Mo or 40Cr13, the hardness of the working head can reach 510–580 HV0.3. When the head material is 68Cr17, the hardness requirement is 550–620 HV.
  2. The assembly structure of the product ensures that the connection between the head and handle is firm and can withstand a torque of 400 N·cm without loosening. When subjected to an axial load of 600 N for 5 seconds, the connection shows no loosening.
  3. The cutting edge is slightly sharp, with no curling or notches.
  4. The product has sufficient strength and adequate heat resistance.
  5. The product possesses good corrosion resistance.
