The bone scraper is mainly used for cortical bone harvesting and is primarily intended for autogenous bone collection. Its advantages include a low unit cost as a single-use device, which is lower than the cost of one vial of xenograft bone substitute. Autogenous bone demonstrates faster bone regeneration and no risk of immune rejection.
