Straight / Curved Kelly Hemostatic Forceps, 4.9" are fine and compact surgical instruments designed for delicate hemostatic and tissue-handling procedures. Their slim profile makes them especially suitable for separating connective tissue around small blood vessels and nerves, as well as for controlling bleeding from small vessels. Straight Kelly hemostatic forceps are commonly used for superficial hemostasis and tissue separation at the surgical site, while curved Kelly hemostatic forceps are better suited for clamping and hemostasis in deeper tissues or internal surgical areas. Toothed forceps are mainly intended for grasping tougher tissues or lifting portions of an incision, but they are not recommended for clamping delicate structures such as blood vessels or nerves.

Features

  1. Constructed from two precisely aligned symmetrical halves joined by a secure pivot structure for smooth and stable operation
  2. Finely machined serrated jaws and interlocking tips help grip tissues or vessels firmly and reduce slippage
  3. Finger-ring handles with a ratchet locking mechanism allow controlled clamping force and secure fixation
  4. Made from medical-grade stainless steel for excellent durability and long-term performance
  5. Uncoated construction provides inherent corrosion resistance from the base material itself, helping maintain a clean and bright finish over time
  6. Environmentally friendly material with no surface coating
  7. Available in multiple sizes, including a 9.4" large hemostatic forceps for enhanced reach and control

Precautions

  • Protect the instrument tips from impact or damage before, during, and after use
  • Clean, disinfect, and dry the forceps promptly after each use
  • Do not use disinfectants containing chloride ions, as they may cause permanent damage to metal instruments
